About the role
The Manufacturing Operator performs assembly, welding, molding, and testing of electromechanical medical devices such as implantable pulse generators, chargers, and remotes. The role requires precise work using microscopes and specialized tools to ensure product quality and compliance with FDA and other regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Assemble, weld, solder and test medical devices and components using microscopes and precision tools.
- Conduct visual inspections to locate and correct defects, bubbles, nicks, or excess epoxy after molding.
- Utilize automated computerized test equipment to verify device functionality.
- Patch and repair epoxy voids with syringes and small tools, then bake parts to cure.
- Perform mechanical assembly, bonding, coating, and processing of devices.
- Notify supervisors of supply shortages or production issues that cannot be resolved on the line.
- Support Quality Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
