Operations Manager – Central America

About the role

Intrepid Travel is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the Central America region. You will ensure the safe, successful and profitable delivery of all trips, acting as the primary operational contact for Tour Leaders, offices and Global Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑end execution of trips across Central America in line with Intrepid standards and policies.
• Serve as the main point of contact for all operational matters, coordinating with Tour Leaders, regional offices and Global Operations.
• Monitor and improve operational performance of trips and Tour Leaders in the region.
• Contribute to the strategic direction and success of Intrepid Central America as a member of the regional management team.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of Central American destinations, itineraries and the adventure‑travel industry.
• Proven experience managing people and teams, including remote staff, and delivering training.
• Background in operations management and/or tour leading/guiding.
• Ability to handle crises calmly and take responsibility for safety.
• Excellent organizational, detail‑orientation and delegation abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken communication in both Spanish and English.
