Operations Engineer

About the role

Syniverse is seeking an Operations Engineer to provide technical solutions for complex customer and application issues. The role involves installing, configuring, operating, and evolving core infrastructure such as networks, servers, and cloud services while ensuring high availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide escalated technical support for complex issues, lead problem‑management cases, and communicate status to management.
• Coordinate with internal technical teams and third‑party vendors to resolve escalated support cases.
• Install, monitor, maintain, and optimize production server hardware and software.
• Analyze tickets, perform root‑cause analysis, and own issues through to resolution.
• Continuously monitor production servers, application health, and alarm systems, interpreting alerts and taking corrective action.
• Benchmark performance, research improvements, and execute action plans based on customer feedback.
• Conduct error research using production logs, prioritize issues, and perform User Acceptance Testing in production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in application support, server operations, or related IT infrastructure roles.
