Operation Logistics Analyst

About the role

The Operation Logistics Analyst will support BAT's supply chain in Costa Rica by managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring smooth export documentation. You will work closely with distributors and internal teams to maintain product freshness and meet demand variations.

Key responsibilities

• Track and review distributor inventories and plan product dispatches for finished, secondary, and new categories.
• Create sales orders, release credit, and process dispatch invoices.
• Review export documents and share them with distributors.
• Monitor shipment arrivals, coordinate port/airline transfers to final warehouses, and ensure security of shipments.
• Analyze demand variations, product freshness across warehouses, and handle distributor claims related to shipments.
• Prepare month‑end reports, develop presentations, and participate in local demand forums.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or a university student with at least 70‑80% of the program completed.
• Advanced studies in Customs, Foreign Trade or related areas are valued.
• Experience in inventory management, import processes, and customs regulations.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Desirable intermediate‑level experience with SAP.
• Strong communication, negotiation and cross‑functional interaction abilities.
• Willingness to work onsite.
