About the role

Cargill is seeking a dedicated Hygiene Operator to join its food production facility in San Antonio del Tejar, Alajuela. This permanent, night‑shift position (9 pm – 3 am, Monday‑Saturday) supports the manufacturing of high‑quality food ingredients while ensuring strict safety and cleanliness standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and mechanical equipment safely.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on assigned equipment.
• Prepare chemicals, tools, and equipment for departmental processes.
• Distribute products to various process lines and ensure proper handling.
• Wash machines and clean adjacent areas according to hygiene protocols.
• Follow corporate regulations, quality, safety, and food‑safety guidelines.
• Monitor and apply energy‑management directives in the work area.

Required profile

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks that may require physical effort and sustained concentration.
• Willingness to work night shifts and adapt to rotating work areas as needed.
• Commitment to adhering to quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
