NPD Materials Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced NPD Materials Specialist to support the transition of new products from development to full‑scale manufacturing. You will act as the critical link between NPD Procurement and the manufacturing site, ensuring material readiness for launches.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain Plan for Every Part (PFEP) for assigned NPD projects, tracking BOM structures, supplier information, forecasts, lead times, pricing and delivery status.
• Manage temporary indirect purchase orders before SAP purchasing processes are established and convert them to SAP PO once setup is complete.
• Coordinate and expedite supplier deliveries, resolve delivery risks and material shortages, and support launch stabilization.
• Support procurement‑related SAP master data setup and ensure accurate data for routine operations.
• Partner with NPD Procurement Engineers, Supply & Demand Planning, Manufacturing Buyers/Planners and suppliers to drive resolution of material issues and handoff to factory teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, material planning or supply chain support.
• Experience with Bills of Material (BOMs), demand forecasts and supplier management.
• Previous involvement in New Product Introductions or product launches.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• SAP (or similar ERP) and Ariba experience.
• Strong understanding of procurement, supplier coordination and material planning.
• Ability to interpret and manage BOMs and product structures.
