Manufacturing Quality Engineer – Process & Quality Improvement

About the role

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will lead initiatives to improve product quality, manufacturing processes and overall customer satisfaction. This onsite position focuses on solving complex quality challenges through system and process enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and lead product, process and quality improvement projects based on internal and external quality indicators.
• Develop, implement and sustain quality systems and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Utilise advanced measurement tools and test equipment, create and review qualification plans for internal product transfers.
• Provide training and support for measurement equipment and Manufacturing Quality Support personnel.
• Monitor, analyse and report KPI’s on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Conduct root‑cause investigations, document findings and drive corrective actions using tools such as DOE, PFMEA, SPC, FMEA.
• Audit manufacturing processes for compliance with quality, engineering and Lean standards and coordinate containment of non‑conforming material.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in process engineering, quality assurance or operations management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or related).
• Advanced English (C1) and at least 3 years experience with electronic assemblies or at Samtec.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 9100, IATF 16949 or similar automotive quality systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑changing environment.
