Manufacturing Process Engineer – Cable Manufacturing

About the role

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will optimize and sustain cable manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, productivity, capacity, and cost performance. Working on‑site full‑time, the engineer drives continuous‑improvement initiatives using data‑driven decision making, Lean Manufacturing principles, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize, validate, and maintain core cable manufacturing processes for scalability, safety, and cost‑effectiveness.
• Analyze and improve performance metrics such as OEE, throughput, yield, cycle time, labor efficiency, scrap, downtime, and capacity utilization.
• Lead process optimization projects using structured problem‑solving, statistical analysis, and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Implement Lean tools (Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, one‑piece flow, theory of constraints) to reduce waste and improve productivity.
• Apply Six Sigma, SPC, DOE, and FMEA techniques to reduce variation and enhance process capability.
• Collect, analyze, and visualize production data with Excel, Power BI, Minitab/JMP, R, or Python; develop dashboards and performance reports.
• Collaborate with Operations and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues, support investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and ensure manufacturing readiness.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead process‑optimization and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Experience collaborating with Operations, Quality, and Product Engineering teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with data‑driven decision‑making skills.
