Manufacturing Engineer – 3‑Month Temporary Role

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer will support manufacturing operations in Costa Rica for a three‑month fixed‑term assignment. The role focuses on developing, qualifying and improving processes while ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment maintenance, install and qualify new production and test equipment (IQ, OQ, PQ).
• Create process flow charts, pFMEAs and implement lean tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping and TPM.
• Develop work instructions, conduct non‑conformance investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Plan workflow and equipment layout to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Manage project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables across cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Proven ability to apply lean manufacturing principles and solve complex process problems.

Required skills

• Injection molding, soldering and crimping processes.
• Electrical and mechanical testing.
• Lean manufacturing tools (5S, Value Stream Mapping, TPM).
• Process flow charting and pFMEA creation.
• IQ/OQ/PQ qualification procedures.
• Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio.
• ERP systems experience (Oracle, Acumatica or similar).
