Manufacturing Engineer 2

About the role

Viant is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 2 to support process improvement, product launches and day‑to‑day manufacturing operations at its Heredia site. The role reports to senior engineering leadership and works closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to assembly, printing, quality and special projects to improve process performance.
• Design and implement fixturing, tooling and manufacturing methodologies to increase efficiency.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, value‑stream mapping, error proofing and Kanban.
• Lead process‑improvement projects, including cost reduction, productivity gains and quality enhancements.
• Coordinate validation, qualification and transfer activities for new products and process changes in compliance with FDA and ISO regulations.
• Prepare reports, budgetary data and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a regulated industry.
• Intermediate English proficiency and bilingual Spanish/English communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Basic statistical techniques (sampling plans, hypothesis testing, process capability studies).
• CAD software experience (AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, MS Project, Minitab and ASME Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing.
