Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing)

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function of our manufacturing site in Heredia, Costa Rica. The role combines reactive and proactive maintenance of all operational equipment and facilities, ensuring maximum efficiency and output.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies.
• Develop and implement maintenance vision, strategy, policies and procedures.
• Delegate maintenance tasks and small projects to the appropriate team members each shift.
• Create and manage a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule and oversee its execution.
• Schedule internal and external work to maximise planned downtime and minimise unplanned downtime.
• Maintain ISO standards compliance and routine equipment calibration.
• Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget, forecasts and capital expenditure proposals.
• Lead the introduction of new machinery, from specification through supplier management to full installation.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, resolve problems and provide technical expertise to the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a multi‑skilled maintenance team in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong people‑management and budgeting skills.
• Ability to develop and enforce standard policies and procedures.
