Irrigation Supervisor

About the role

The Irrigation Supervisor will lead the planning, operation, and maintenance of all irrigation and water management systems at Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica, Peninsula Papagayo. Reporting to the Grounds Operations Manager, you will ensure that the resort’s gardens, lawns, and landscapes receive optimal water while supporting the resort’s sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operation of irrigation networks, including scheduling, monitoring, and adjusting water delivery.
• Lead a team of irrigation technicians and coordinate with the landscaping department to meet horticultural needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and oversee repairs of pumps, valves, controllers, and related equipment.
• Track water consumption, generate reports, and implement water‑saving initiatives in line with environmental standards.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and Four Seasons sustainability policies.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and manage vendor relationships for equipment and supplies.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising irrigation or water‑management operations, preferably in a hospitality or resort setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train and motivate a technical team.
• Commitment to high service standards and environmental stewardship.

Required skills

• Knowledge of irrigation system components and operation.
• Pump and valve maintenance expertise.
• Water management and conservation techniques.
