Inventory Control Analyst - AWS Supply Chain

About the role

The Inventory Control Analyst supports all operational activities related to inventory management for AWS infrastructure supply chain operations. The role is critical to keeping inventory records accurate, resolving operational issues and maintaining efficient supply chain processes across AWS data centers, DBS hubs and rack integrator partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Daily operations: validate and run daily allocation processes, review and resolve invoices on hold with proper documentation and approval, and monitor and manage inventory holds and releases
• Create and manage purchase orders (POs) with the appropriate AWS approval workflows
• Prepare executive summaries and status updates for business forums
• Track and report key inventory metrics and KPIs
• Maintain accurate documentation of inventory processes and procedures
• Support business reviews with data-driven insights and recommendations

Required profile

• Studies in Business Administration, Logistics or Accounting
• 1-2 years of experience in inventory control, supply chain operations or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to work independently and in a team

Required skills

• SAP or similar ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
• Inventory management systems and databases; ability to analyse large datasets and spot trends or discrepancies
• Preferred: technology or data center supply chain experience, knowledge of procurement and invoice management, familiarity with RMA and vendor management, inventory reconciliation automation tools, and understanding of financial controls and compliance
