Intermediate Drupal Developer (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an Intermediate Drupal Developer to join our agency on a contract basis, with the possibility of transitioning to a full‑time position. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining Drupal‑based web solutions for a variety of client projects.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop and deploy custom Drupal modules and themes.
• Configure and manage Drupal sites, including content types, views, and workflows.
• Integrate third‑party services via RESTful APIs and ensure seamless data exchange.
• Maintain code quality using Git, Composer, and automated testing pipelines.
• Collaborate with account managers, designers, UX specialists, and client IT teams.
• Provide ongoing support, debugging, and performance optimisation for live sites.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented, highly organised and able to juggle multiple client projects.
• Strong communication skills to report status, issues and solutions clearly.
• Experience working in an agency environment with Agile or Scrum processes.

Required skills

• Drupal 9/10 site building and custom module development.
• Proficiency in PHP and the Drupal API.
• Theming with Twig, custom themes and component‑based development.
• HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript.
• RESTful API integration.
• Composer and Drupal dependency management.
• Git version control.
• MySQL and relational database concepts.
• Apache or Nginx server configuration.
• Web accessibility (WCAG) and SEO best practices.
