Inspector de Control de Calidad

About the role

The Quality Control Inspector ensures that all raw materials, in‑process items, and finished products meet the company's food safety and quality standards. Working within the HACCP framework and Good Manufacturing Practices, the role guarantees that products are safe, hygienic, and of high quality before they reach the market.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, review, and record standards for raw materials, in‑process goods, and finished products.
• Measure, document, and report any deviations from specifications at every production stage.
• Perform laboratory measurements and sampling using approved equipment.
• Conduct sampling during receipt, processing, and dispatch for local consumption and export, reporting any non‑conformities.
• Track rotation of raw materials, ingredients, additives, and storage conditions for frozen and finished products.
• Control sanitary conditions of product transportation, focusing on temperature and truck hygiene.
• Record and follow up on retained or non‑conforming products.
• Notify relevant parties of non‑conformities, corrective actions, and verify implementation.
• Monitor compliance with quality and food safety procedures and HACCP prerequisites in processing units.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Food Safety, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• Experience or knowledge of the poultry sector and animal welfare.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP principles.
• Understanding of prerequisite standards such as ISO/TS 22002‑1 or similar.
• Availability to work in Rio Grande de Atenas with shift hours from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Required skills

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel.
• Basic knowledge of SAP (preferred).
• HACCP implementation and documentation.
• Knowledge of ISO/TS 22002‑1 (or equivalent) prerequisite standards.
• Driving license B1 (preferred).

What we offer

• Monthly gross salary of CRC 565,400.
