About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join the Construction Department of Acuarium, a family‑owned company specialized in pool design and construction. The role focuses on ensuring that each pool project is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the construction schedule, allocating activities and resources to meet project deadlines.
• Lead field personnel and subcontractors, assign tasks, and ensure a safe and productive work environment.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with quality specifications and local building codes.
• Support initiatives that improve construction productivity and cost efficiency.
• Monitor construction costs and report financial performance to the Construction Manager.
• Maintain regular communication with the Construction Manager, clients, consultants and other stakeholders, providing progress reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in construction inspection.
• Member of the CFIA (Costa Rican Federation of Engineers) or equivalent professional body.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Familiarity with construction codes, industrial safety standards and local regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
