Identity & Access Management Engineer

About the role

Roche is looking for an Identity & Access Management Engineer to join its growing IAM team. This position offers a Java developer the chance to deepen expertise in identity and access management, focusing on SailPoint technologies and enterprise‑scale integration.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the end‑to‑end design and implementation of IAM infrastructure solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation for designs, patterns, and component standards.
• Collaborate with senior internal and external partners on technical matters aligned with organizational priorities.
• Lead proofs of concept and feasibility studies for new IAM technologies.
• Design, build, test, and deploy resilient IAM solutions while ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
• Estimate engineering resources and timelines for project delivery.
• Produce technical recommendations, white papers, and best‑practice documentation.
• Work closely with support and operations teams on incident and problem management, driving continuous service improvement.
• Adopt Infrastructure as Code practices and follow coding best practices.

Required profile

• Strong Java development background with interest in expanding into IAM.
• Experience or familiarity with SailPoint or similar IAM platforms.
• Ability to make technical design decisions and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude toward identifying operational challenges and improving solutions.
