Groundskeeper

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Groundskeeper to join the Four Seasons Resort Peninsula Papagayo team in Costa Rica. The successful candidate will maintain the resort’s extensive gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas, ensuring they reflect the brand’s luxury standards and provide a beautiful backdrop for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, gardens, pathways, and surrounding natural areas, including mowing, edging, planting, and irrigation.
• Perform routine landscaping tasks such as pruning, fertilizing, and pest control in accordance with environmental guidelines.
• Monitor and repair outdoor equipment, tools, and irrigation systems.
• Collaborate with the resort’s environmental and sustainability teams to preserve the natural ecosystem.
• Ensure all outdoor spaces are clean, safe, and presentable for guests and staff.

Required profile

• Passion for outdoor work and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a hospitality team.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Commitment to the Four Seasons “golden rule” of treating others as you wish to be treated.

Required skills

• Experience with basic landscaping tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of plant care, irrigation, and grounds maintenance practices.
