Full-Stack Engineer (Kotlin + TypeScript/React)

About the role

Software Mind is looking for two experienced Full‑Stack Engineers to maintain and modernize a legacy application for a client. The project focuses on extending the life of an application that was originally slated for decommission, requiring careful updates to dependencies, frameworks, and test coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Update and upgrade outdated libraries, dependencies, and frameworks to keep the application stable and secure.
• Expand unit‑test coverage across both backend and frontend code.
• Validate system stability after each upgrade through thorough testing.
• Identify and resolve issues introduced by dependency or framework changes.
• Collaborate with the client’s engineering team to align priorities and report progress.

Required profile

• Minimum B2 (≈90%) English proficiency, both written and oral.
• 8+ years of full‑stack development experience.
• Strong backend experience with Kotlin and Gradle.
• Strong frontend experience with TypeScript and React.
• Proven experience with library/dependency upgrades and framework migrations.
• Solid understanding of unit‑testing principles and experience writing tests.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
