Front-End Engineer (React)

About the role

Software Mind is seeking a Front-End Engineer specialized in React to build and enhance web applications used by doctors and consumers. You will focus on delivering intuitive, high‑quality user experiences while integrating with back‑end services that provide healthcare data.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain responsive, accessible user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Implement UI based on designs and specifications, collaborating closely with product designers and product managers.
• Apply strong design judgment to refine UI details, improve usability, and ensure a polished, consistent user experience across screens and workflows.
• Develop reusable UI components and contribute to consistent UI patterns across the product.
• Integrate front‑end features with back‑end services and REST APIs, handling loading, error, and empty states.
• Ensure front‑end quality through testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Optimize front‑end performance and ensure cross‑browser and cross‑device compatibility.
• Follow best practices for security and privacy when handling user data.
• Collaborate with back‑end engineers, QA, and product teams to ship improvements iteratively.

Required profile

• 90% English written and oral (at least B2 level) with excellent communication skills.
• BS/MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of industry experience as a Front‑End Engineer building web applications.
• Strong proficiency in front‑end technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React).
• Strong product and design sensibility with the ability to make thoughtful UI/UX decisions.
• Solid understanding of component architecture, maintainable front‑end patterns, and working with APIs.
• Experience integrating with REST APIs and handling real‑world edge cases.
• Knowledge of front‑end performance optimization techniques and best practices.
• Familiarity with modern front‑end build tools and workflows (e.g., Vite, Webpack).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to collaborate in a cross‑functional team.
• Creativity in problem‑solving.
