Freelance Learning Project Manager

About the role

SweetRush is seeking a proactive Freelance Learning Project Manager to lead the delivery of custom learning solutions for its global clients. Working remotely from Costa Rica, you will combine instructional design knowledge with expert project management to ensure high‑quality, innovative results are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales to align client needs with project‑management best practices.
• Develop and manage end‑to‑end project plans (Agile or Waterfall), including work breakdown structures, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Serve as the primary client contact, translating complex processes into clear decisions and fostering strong, empathetic relationships.
• Facilitate collaborative sessions to drive innovation while balancing team priorities and conflicting demands.
• Own project financial health by tracking expenses, utilization, and profit margins, and identify growth opportunities through change orders.
• Connect project goals to the client’s broader business strategy and suggest innovative delivery methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s in Instructional Design or Business is a plus).
• 5–7 years of project‑management experience within the Learning & Development industry.
• Deep understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and eLearning standards.
