Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Publicis Sapient is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work at the intersection of software engineering, AI, and client delivery. You will partner directly with stakeholders to design, build, and deploy enterprise‑grade AI solutions that move AI from experimentation to production.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise AI solutions using Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, large language models and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Build client‑facing AI applications with Java and modern cloud‑native practices, integrating Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Azure OpenAI and other Azure AI services.
• Partner with clients to translate business problems into technical solutions, creating scalable APIs, services and secure AI‑powered experiences.
• Support deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement of AI applications in Azure environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and contribute to AI accelerators, reusable assets and best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and enterprise application development.
• Hands‑on experience designing and implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation solutions.
• Experience building AI‑powered applications using LLMs and generative AI technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery environments and stakeholder management.
