Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a visionary finance leader to shape the financial foundation of a regenerative real‑estate development company. This position offers a clear leadership pathway toward a future Chief Financial Officer role and involves close collaboration with executive teams across real‑estate development, hospitality operations, and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, treasury oversight, and tax coordination across Costa Rica, Panama, and the United States.
• Oversee project accounting for real‑estate development, including budgets, cost tracking, and capital expenditures.
• Manage treasury operations, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while building scalable financial systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA strongly preferred).
• 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience.
• Experience in multi‑entity and multi‑currency organizations, preferably within real‑estate development or hospitality.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and familiarity with AI concepts.
