Financial Controller

About the role

Silvestre is building a fast‑growing luxury hospitality brand in Costa Rica and needs a Financial Controller to design and manage its financial operations. You will partner closely with the Managing Partner and property teams to ensure budgets, cash flow, and reporting are accurate, proactive, and aligned with the company’s growth plans.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial activities, including bookkeeping, cash‑flow management and financial reporting.
• Prepare and monitor monthly, quarterly and annual budgets in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Track actual performance versus budget across multiple properties and cost centres.
• Ensure timely vendor and staff payments with clear approval procedures.
• Design, implement and maintain ERP systems for cost control, inventory, procurement and payroll.
• Coordinate with external accountants to meet tax filing and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and data integrity throughout the organization.
• Support the preparation of investor, partner and internal leadership reports.
• Contribute to financial planning for new projects and expansion initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management or a controller role.
• Background in hospitality, real estate or multi‑entity operations is preferred.
• Strong grasp of accounting principles, cash‑flow tracking and cost analysis.
• Detail‑oriented, highly organized and capable of building scalable systems.
• Fluent English; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
