Finance Director – Commercial & Supply Chain (SCM)

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Director to lead the commercial and supply‑chain financial strategy for Walmart Mexico & Central America. The role acts as a strategic partner to the business, driving profitable growth, margin optimization and efficient resource allocation across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Finance Business Partner to the VPs of Commercial and Supply Chain, influencing strategy and major business decisions.
• Lead commercial margin strategy, including pricing analysis, price gaps, commercial investments, funding and margin health.
• Own the full P&L, business planning, forecasting, annual operating plan and long‑range planning, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Develop inventory financial strategy, providing visibility on productivity, days on hand and non‑productive stock, and define action plans with Commercial and Supply Chain teams.
• Partner with Supply Chain on manufacturing, logistics, productivity and competitiveness decisions, guiding investment priorities.
• Evaluate large‑scale strategic investments, automation and transformation projects to ensure ROI and value creation.

Required profile

• Finance executive with experience in retail, consumer goods, commercial, merchandising, supply chain or manufacturing.
• Proven track record leading complex businesses, deep understanding of end‑to‑end P&L, margin, pricing, inventory, working capital, cash flow and ROI.
• Ability to move beyond financial analysis and contribute to commercial and operational strategy formulation.
• Regional or multi‑country experience managing senior stakeholders (VP/C‑level).
• Experience leading large teams and developing talent.
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking and executive influence.
• Advanced/Executive level English proficiency.
