Facilities Engineer I

About the role

The Facilities Engineer I will coordinate the facilities area to ensure that the infrastructure meets the requirements for continuous business operations. Working within Heraeus Medevio’s global technology group, you will support the plant’s safety, reliability and compliance while contributing to the company’s mission of improving lives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the execution of the annual facilities plan in line with procedures and safety guidelines.
• Monitor facilities performance indicators and ensure targets are met.
• Manage budget resources to align execution with business strategy.
• Ensure all facility equipment operates according to building requirements for uninterrupted operations.
• Organize and supervise annual pest‑control activities and green‑area maintenance.
• Validate service‑supply contracts and support energy‑management initiatives.
• Implement continuous‑improvement practices to reduce maintenance costs.
• Approve overtime and track working hours bi‑weekly.
• Execute contingency and emergency plans to guarantee operational continuity.
• Maintain documentation to satisfy quality and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, or Maintenance Engineering.
• 0–3 years of experience in a similar facilities or engineering role.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish.
• Strong understanding of electromechanical systems and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to identify improvement opportunities and manage budgets.
