About the role

At TE, the Engineering Manager I will drive technological advancement for wire straightening, coiling, forming, coining, and heat‑treatment processes, supporting new product introductions and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage projects including new production equipment, process improvements, cost reductions and new product introduction support.
  • Coordinate design, supply, manufacture and qualification of tooling, machinery and test equipment.
  • Generate and maintain product routings, process drawings and standard costs.
  • Provide justification, implementation and capital validation for new equipment.
  • Review manufacturing and process capability of new and existing products.
  • Ensure reliable, repeatable processes that meet safety, quality, yield and cost objectives.
  • Improve process flow, equipment performance and adopt manufacturing best practices.
  • Develop and implement cost‑reduction and quality‑improvement projects.
  • Prioritize projects, manage resources to meet business objectives and monitor progress.

Required profile

  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong reputation for building relationships across all organization levels.
  • Positive attitude with ability to map tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Experience developing, monitoring and forecasting budgets and major milestones.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and productively with others.
  • Demonstrated capability to drive organizational change.

Required skills

  • Ability to create and read engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, ProEngineer and CATIA.
  • Manufacturing engineering experience, especially with wireframe technology.
  • Knowledge of DFM, Lean and Six Sigma principles and design of experiments.
  • Understanding of mechanical design, FEA, geometric tolerancing, metrology, machine control and metallurgy (desirable).
