Embedded Software Engineer Internship

About the role

This internship is based onsite at HPE's Heredia office and offers hands‑on experience developing embedded software for networking and edge devices.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior engineers in developing, testing, and debugging embedded software components.
• Assist in maintaining Linux‑based software stacks, drivers, middleware and applications.
• Contribute to AI‑driven initiatives, such as integrating AI models and exploring automation tools.
• Participate in code reviews, stand‑ups and design discussions.
• Research and prototype new methodologies, tools or frameworks related to embedded software and AI.

Required profile

• Student pursuing a technical degree (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc.).
• Familiarity with embedded systems programming in C/C++ and scripting in Python.
• Strong academic background in software development and design.
• Interest in AI‑driven development for embedded platforms.
