Electrical Engineer & Python Expert - Freelance AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with strong Python skills to design and evaluate computational engineering challenges for cutting‑edge AI models. This is a project‑based freelance position where you will create problems that require specialized simulation tools and verify AI performance in a sealed Linux container.

Key responsibilities

• Choose a core simulation tool (e.g., ngspice, scikit‑rf, python‑control, pandapower) and design a problem that depends on its solver or model.
• Write a reference Python solution, provide netlist or circuit files, and define the correct numerical answer with appropriate tolerance.
• Run batch tests against the AI model, adjusting difficulty to achieve a 10‑30% success rate.
• Iteratively refine circuit topologies, operating conditions, and solver settings based on model behavior.
• Submit the finalized task for review by a senior expert in the same sub‑field.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of research, applied, or teaching experience.
• Proficient English writing skills (C1 level or higher).
• Self‑motivated and able to learn new simulation packages independently.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Experience with or willingness to master at least one of: ngspice, scikit‑rf, python‑control, pandapower, PyPSA.
• Circuit simulation, control systems, or power‑systems modeling.
