Director of Finance

About the role

The Hacienda AltaGracia resort is seeking a seasoned Director of Finance to lead its financial operations. Reporting to the General Manager and Executive Committee, you will shape financial strategy, ensure compliance, and drive profitability for this 50‑casita luxury property.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting in partnership with senior leadership.
• Oversee all finance functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and revenue auditing.
• Maintain accurate financial records, provide analysis, interpretation, and forecasts.
• Ensure cash‑flow optimization and enforce controls over revenue, expenses, and asset protection.
• Act as the primary financial liaison with owners, asset managers, and external partners.
• Participate in monthly and annual reviews, presenting budgets, forecasts, and financial commentary.
• Guarantee compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal control requirements.
• Support professional development of the finance team and manage secure storage of contracts and financial documents.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Director of Finance within the hospitality industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven ability to advise senior leadership on critical financial decisions.
• Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality.

Required skills

• Experience with hotel financial reporting systems and software.
• Knowledge of management agreements and hospitality‑specific accounting practices.
