Data Reporting & Analytics Consultant III

About the role

This individual contributor supports claims‑processing optimization, automation, and fraud, waste, and abuse analysis by turning business requests into reliable data products.

Key responsibilities

• Intake loosely defined requests from claims partners, clarify business questions, populations, field definitions, and intended actions.
• Research Epic Clarity/Tapestry structures, write and validate SQL queries, prepare focused datasets, assess data quality, and document logic and refresh procedures.
• Build, test, publish, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and scheduled refreshes.
• Communicate progress, findings, limitations, and decisions clearly with non‑technical partners and iterate based on feedback.
• Support opportunity sizing and outcome measurement for claims automation, RPA, and fraud‑waste‑abuse initiatives.
• Develop or support threshold alerts, approvals, work queues, and closed‑loop workflows using Power Apps or related tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of hands‑on experience in data analytics, SQL querying, and Power BI report/dashboard development.
• Ability to interpret complex or incomplete requirements, research unfamiliar data, validate results, and communicate clearly with business stakeholders.
• Curious, self‑directed, responsive to feedback, and comfortable iterating when initial results do not fully meet business needs.
