Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

Moody's is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to lead vulnerability management and drive operational excellence across its global enterprise security environment. The role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security risks while supporting the organization’s AI‑enabled security initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Drive vulnerability management using platforms such as Qualys and WIZ, and maintain a clean security posture.
• Develop and maintain dashboards in Power BI and automate workflows with Python or JavaScript.
• Apply vulnerability frameworks (NIST, CVSS, CWE, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, CIS Benchmarks) to assess and remediate findings.
• Maintain a high ticket‑closure rate, ensuring issues are resolved within four days and documented twice weekly.
• Own end‑to‑end security projects, share knowledge, and contribute to business enablement.
• Complete at least 50 hours of training annually and obtain at least one relevant certification each year.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of cybersecurity engineering experience in an enterprise environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent certifications.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, able to interact with non‑technical stakeholders.
• Interest in AI concepts and responsible AI practices.

Required skills

• Vulnerability management platforms: Qualys, WIZ.
• SQL and relational/database warehouse technologies.
• Power BI dashboard creation and maintenance.
• Programming: Python and/or JavaScript for automation.
• Frameworks: NIST, CVSS, CWE, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, CIS Benchmarks.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISA, CEH, GSEC, CRISC) are a plus.
