Customer Specialist I – Buyer Support

About the role

The Customer Specialist I (Buyer Support) acts as the central hub for order management, supporting internal customers across EMEA and North America. Working in an office environment, you will coordinate supply‑chain functions, resolve order backlogs, and ensure timely delivery of parts to field service engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate requests between supply‑chain teams and internal stakeholders, routing them to the appropriate department.
• Track, follow up, and close internal inquiries, providing status updates on orders.
• Operate within a follow‑the‑sun model, handling cases from multiple regions as needed.
• Review daily backlogs, correct order issues, and seek alternative supply sources.
• Adjust order priorities based on field service input and update the system accordingly.
• Participate in regular meetings with field service and technical support managers to report backlog status and counter‑measures.
• Communicate delivery dates, maintain metrics, and address supply‑chain‑related complaints using SAP CRM.
• Prepare and host meetings to resolve blocking issues and ensure advanced orders are prioritized.
• Enter orders for internal offices lacking SAP integration and proactively react to new information.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• High School Diploma (required); Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience in supply‑chain, demand planning, or order administration.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Advanced written and verbal English proficiency.
• Experience working with ERP/CRM systems in a fast‑paced, matrix environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
