About the role

The Coordinator of the Perishables area will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the fresh‑product sections – fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy – within a retail store. The role ensures smooth workflow, accurate inventory, minimal waste, and compliance with performance indicators while providing strong leadership to the department team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day activities of the fresh‑produce sections, ensuring product quality and proper presentation.
• Manage inventory levels, conduct stock counts, and coordinate replenishment with suppliers.
• Control waste (merma) and implement measures to reduce losses.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators, taking corrective actions when needed.
• Motivate, train, and lead the department staff to achieve operational goals.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards in compliance with store policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail or fresh‑produce management.
• Strong leadership and team‑building abilities.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills to track indicators.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication skills for internal coordination and supplier interaction.
