About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cook A to join our kitchen team in Guanacaste. The successful candidate will support daily food preparation, ensure quality standards, and collaborate closely with the Chef de Partie.

Key responsibilities

• Follow the Chef de Partie’s instructions and assist with daily kitchen operations.
• Maintain a well‑organized workstation, ensuring adequate supplies of ingredients, utensils, and equipment.
• Apply basic and advanced cooking techniques according to the menu.
• Check and collect fresh ingredients each day, managing proper rotation.
• Prepare, cook, and plate dishes accurately, controlling portions and minimizing waste.
• Monitor cleanliness and functionality of station equipment, reporting any risks or repairs.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute suggestions.
• Uphold strict hygiene, food‑handling, and safety standards.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the kitchen and storage areas.
• Ensure final dish presentation meets quality standards.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in a full‑service restaurant kitchen, preferably as a line cook.
• High sense of responsibility, patience, and proactive problem‑solving.
• Positive, service‑oriented attitude toward guests and teammates.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during high‑demand periods.

Required skills

• Basic knife techniques.
• Knowledge of farm‑to‑table cooking concepts.
