Contractor Field Service Representative – Aircraft Maintenance

About the role

The Contractor Field Service Representative (CFSR) provides on‑site technical support, maintenance expertise, and over‑the‑shoulder training for King Air 250 and Cessna C‑208 aircraft operating in Costa Rica. The role ensures aircraft readiness through preventive, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance while complying with FAA regulations and OEM manuals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site training and maintenance guidance to customer personnel.
• Perform preventive, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on King Air 250 and Cessna C‑208 systems.
• Support operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of radar and FLIR systems on the King Air 250 platform.
• Execute software and hardware upgrades for radar and FLIR equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve aircraft system discrepancies and equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations and OEM maintenance manuals.
• Assist with maintenance forecasting, parts needs, inventory control and procurement.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel, operators and program leadership to maintain mission readiness.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and reporting.
• Provide on‑call operational support for flight operations and mission schedules, including night and weekend work.
• Collaborate with OEM representatives and program management to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (required).
• FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience on fixed‑wing platforms.
• Experience with King Air 250 and/or Cessna C‑208 aircraft.
• Strong background in airborne radar and FLIR systems maintenance (preferred).
• Working knowledge of FAA regulations and OEM maintenance manuals.
