Cisco Engineer (Tier 3) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Tier 3 Cisco Engineer to provide escalated support for a major Cisco account. The role is remote and involves troubleshooting complex data‑center virtualization issues worldwide while delivering training and technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for high‑impact, large‑account issue resolution.
• Provide escalated support to customer infrastructure and solutions.
• Deliver systems and product training to global teams.
• Configure, upgrade and maintain Cisco UCS, storage and hypervisor platforms.
• Monitor system resource allocation and utilization.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization of virtualization environments.
• Manage incidents, problems and changes following ITIL processes.
• Handle and track support tickets and crisis situations.

Required profile

• 4–7+ years of data‑center infrastructure virtualization support.
• Advanced English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Schedule flexibility and ability to work remotely.
• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or equivalent experience.
• CCNP/CCIE certification (desired) and ITIL certification (a plus).
• Hands‑on experience with Citrix XenServer, XenApp and Netscaler.
• Experience with Cisco UCS Blade/Rack servers (desired).
