About the role
Join Trelleborg as a Buyer and support the procurement needs of our manufacturing site in Costa Rica. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing purchases of goods, materials and services essential for production.
Key responsibilities
- Sourcing suppliers by researching and evaluating vendors on price, quality, reliability and delivery speed.
- Negotiating contracts to secure favorable pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules.
- Creating purchase orders, tracking shipments and ensuring timely arrival of items.
- Monitoring inventory levels and analyzing trends to avoid shortages or overstock.
- Collaborating with finance, sales and production teams to align purchasing with company goals.
- Developing ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintaining purchasing records and controls to comply with ISO 13485 requirements.
Required profile
- Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a buyer or purchasing specialist.
- Proficiency in English.
