Buyer – Procurement Operations

About the role

Huntsman is looking for a Buyer Procurement Operations to support the Global Business Services in Costa Rica. The role reports to the Indirect Procurement Team Lead and will handle day‑to‑day procurement activities across multiple purchasing areas.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor procurement systems, resolve integration errors, place purchase orders and process invoice disputes in a compliant manner.
• Manage and maintain purchasing data, including pricing, order profiles, supplier information and order tracking.
• Act as the daily operational liaison between purchasing, manufacturing sites and administrative departments.
• Identify and drive process‑improvement opportunities to increase automation and efficiency.
• Provide status updates to internal stakeholders and ensure compliance with environmental, health and security policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in procurement or purchasing.
• Understanding of procurement and purchasing processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• English proficiency at minimum B2 level (written and verbal).
• Unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica and ability to work onsite in Heredia on designated days.
