Business Analyst - Controlling

About the role

AstraZeneca is seeking a Business Analyst for its Global Financial Services team to support manufacturing and quality sites across the Biologics and Small Molecules regions. The role focuses on cost analysis, inventory, capital expenditures and provides financial insight to site finance partners.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly journal entries, accruals, reclassifications and variance analysis for manufacturing variances and stock provisions.
• Execute month‑end close activities, financial reporting and provide insightful commentary for management information packs.
• Analyse manufacturing, manpower, OPEX, logistics, capex and inventory variances and support planning cycles.
• Maintain strong relationships with Embedded Finance and senior finance management, acting as a planning champion for site cost, inventory and logistics.
• Ensure SOX and non‑SOX controls are applied, support auditors and document processes for business continuity.

Required profile

• 4+ years of accounting, cost or FP&A experience.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Experience with three core operations processes such as manufacturing, site cost, product costing, inventory or capex.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and ability to work flexibly, including travel and holiday work as needed.
