BIM Specialist MEP

About the role

ENG (engbim.com) is a BIM company founded in 2007, offering MEP modeling, VDC/BIM management, laser scanning and scan-to-BIM services to architects, engineers and owners. The BIM Specialist covers the modeling of different MEP trades depending on background and expertise, with a high level of modeling quality, technical knowledge, LOD and QA/QC capability, and autonomy in studying each trade. The specialist detects possible conflicts during the initial information review and modeling and coordination phases.

Required profile

• Excellent spoken and written English; candidates without it will not be considered.
• Solid experience modeling HVAC and plumbing in Revit for commercial, industrial, healthcare and residential construction, including process piping, ductwork, sheet metal, mechanical equipment (pumps, AHUs, RTUs, chillers, boilers) and plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary drainage, stormwater, medical gases, compressed air).
• Mechanical or civil engineering bachelor's degree; architects may be considered only with extensive experience modeling and coordinating MEP trades.
• Desirable: LOD 400 experience, US-based projects, constructability knowledge of the US, BIM add-ins (Evolve, SysQue, Fabrication Parts), conceptual design assistance, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Dynamo/Python for BIM, and on-site experience.

Required skills

• Revit modeling of MEP systems
• Navisworks clash detection (Revizto acceptable but Navisworks prioritized)
• BIM coordination, clash reports, QA/QC and model accuracy
