Bilingual Teaching Assistant

About the role

The Bilingual Teaching Assistant supports classroom teachers at St. Jude School by delivering instruction in both English and Spanish. This role enhances student learning, reinforces classroom management, and contributes to a safe, inclusive school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparing and delivering educational activities.
• Provide individual or group support to students during lessons, reinforcing instructions in English and Spanish.
• Support supervision and positive management of student behavior, including recess, lunch, arrivals, and departures.
• Help organize teaching materials, keep classroom resources tidy, and maintain attendance and homework records.
• Communicate academic, emotional, or behavioral concerns to staff and families.
• Participate in school events, projects, and safeguarding procedures.
