Ayudante de Planta – Operaciones de Helados

About the role

The Plant Helper will support the ice‑cream production line at Dos Pinos' Alajuela facility. The role involves handling raw materials, packaging finished products, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload raw materials, products, and other materials manually or using industrial equipment.
• Pack and arrange finished ice‑cream products in boxes, baskets or sacks for storage and distribution.
• Safely store and handle materials according to established procedures.
• Visually inspect product specifications such as expiration dates, appearance and physical condition.
• Perform manual cleaning of work areas, equipment and machinery to meet good manufacturing practices.
• Transport cleaning chemicals while following safety regulations.
• Monitor machine alarms and connections to anticipate and prevent process failures.
• Apply food safety, quality, environmental, health and occupational safety standards.
• Use assigned equipment and machinery correctly to ensure integrity and optimal performance.
• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Completed primary education; secondary school (third grade) preferred.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
• Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP.
• At least six months of experience in operational tasks within the food industry.
