About the role

We are looking for a Plant Assistant to support the manufacturing process of the Gallito Belén product line at our Heredia facility. The role involves handling raw materials, packaging finished goods, and maintaining a clean and safe production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload raw materials, products and other materials manually or using industrial equipment.
• Pack and arrange finished products in boxes, baskets or sacks for storage and distribution.
• Safely store and handle chemicals used for cleaning or machine operation following safety protocols.
• Perform visual inspections of product specifications such as expiration dates and physical condition.
• Clean work areas, equipment and machinery to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Monitor machine alarms and report any irregularities to prevent process failures.
• Follow food safety, quality, environmental, health and occupational safety standards.
• Use assigned equipment responsibly and report any damage.
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Completed primary education; secondary education preferred.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
• Minimum six months experience in food‑industry operational tasks.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Understanding of HACCP principles.
