Automation Engineer – Orthopedics (Grecia, Costa Rica)

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an Automation Engineer to support its MedTech Orthopedics business in Grecia, Costa Rica. The role focuses on identifying internal improvement opportunities, applying DMAIC methodology, and driving cost‑reduction initiatives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Apply DMAIC and Lean Six Sigma tools to analyze and improve manufacturing processes.
• Lead automation projects that reduce product manufacturing costs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement process enhancements.
• Monitor performance metrics and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Support the transition of the Orthopedics business to the new DePuy Synthes entity.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related).
• Experience in manufacturing or process automation, preferably in MedTech or related industries.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on cost reduction and efficiency.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and communicate effectively in English.
