Associate Global Accounting General Ledger

About the role

Join Pfizer as an Associate Global Accounting General Ledger and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial operations that support life‑changing medicines worldwide. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with diverse stakeholders across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial and accounting analysis, maintain domestic and international general ledgers, and create journal entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Lead month‑end close activities, produce standard reports, and support internal and external audit requests.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, job aids, and SOPs, including Sarbanes‑Oxley internal control documentation.
• Identify issues proactively, propose solutions, and drive continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in progress, an Associate’s degree with 1+ years of experience, or a high‑school diploma with 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated finance or accounting experience with strong numerical accuracy.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to interface at all organizational levels.
• Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Familiarity with Hyperion Financial Management.
• Use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) for problem solving and productivity.
