About the role

The Assembly Operator I joins Cardinal Health Manufacturing’s production team, performing hands‑on assembly and packaging tasks while ensuring product quality and compliance with safety standards. This entry‑level position supports the creation of component assemblies, sub‑assemblies, and finished units following documented procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Set up workstations and equipment according to instructions from supervisors, adhering to GMP and safety policies.
• Assemble product packages following Device History Records (DHR), special instructions, and visual guides.
• Verify component selection and confirm that quantity and quality standards are met.
• Inspect components for debris or defects, report issues to management and the quality team, and complete defect investigation forms.
• Operate packaging equipment that inserts or fills containers with materials or products.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0‑1 years of related experience or a willingness to learn on the job.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work under close supervision.
• Commitment to quality guidelines and safety practices.
