Assembly Associate I (Production Operator)

About the role

The Assembly Associate I supports Cardinal Health's manufacturing operations by assembling product packages, performing quality inspections, and ensuring compliance with GMP and safety standards. This entry‑level position is ideal for candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent who are eager to start a career in production.

Key responsibilities

• Set up workstations according to Captain/Designee instructions while following all GMP, policy, and safety guidelines.
• Assemble product packages following DHR, special instructions, and video imaging requirements.
• Verify components for correct selection, quantity, and quality standards.
• Inspect components for debris or defects and report issues to management and the quality team.
• Operate packaging equipment that inserts or fills containers.
• Document and investigate defects using the NCI & Defect Investigation Form process.

Required profile

• 0‑1 years of relevant experience (preferred).
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work under close supervision.
• Willingness to maintain required licenses, training, and certifications.
