About the role

The Point of Sale Assistant works closely with the Store Manager to ensure the pharmacy operates smoothly, complies with health regulations, and meets sales and service targets. This role is essential for maintaining operational standards, handling inventory, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close the pharmacy, safeguarding security codes and keys.
• Maintain operational processes to achieve sales, expense, margin, and KPI goals.
• Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health and Pharmacy Board regulations.
• Handle cash management procedures and follow the operational excellence guide.
• Implement the customer service protocol and uphold the brand’s value proposition.
• Maintain store presentation and staff dress code standards.
• Address customer complaints, report product shortages, and provide market‑driven inventory suggestions.
• Process returns according to laboratory policies to minimize losses.
• Receive, organize, and store incoming merchandise following store layout.
• Conduct cyclic inventory counts, adjust stock for internal use, discrepancies, royalties, theft, and other factors.
• Place extraordinary orders with the central distribution center and resolve any delivery issues.

• Good organizational skills for inventory and documentation management.
• Customer‑focused attitude with problem‑solving capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the store manager and other support areas.
