About the role

We are looking for a Senior SAP Platform Architect to join a long‑term, on‑site project in Costa Rica. The professional will define and evolve the SAP platform architecture, ensuring alignment with business requirements, architectural standards, and SAP best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Define and continuously improve the SAP platform architecture based on technical and functional needs.
• Design architectural solutions for SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Lead transformation and modernization initiatives for SAP platforms.
• Develop migration strategies from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA.
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation and evolution projects.
• Assess existing architecture, identify modernization opportunities, and propose innovative solutions.
• Set technical standards and guidelines for SAP solution delivery.
• Analyze dependencies and integrations between SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise systems.
• Provide architectural guidance to functional, technical, and integration teams.
• Address design, integration, security, performance, scalability, and availability decisions.
• Identify technical and architectural risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, standards, and technical decisions.
• Collaborate closely with project leaders, functional consultants, BASIS, development, integration, and infrastructure teams.
• Ensure solutions follow SAP‑recommended best practices and standards.
• Support planning and execution of SAP transformation project phases.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an SAP Platform Architect.
• Participation in at least two SAP innovation or transformation projects, specifically in the role of Architect.
• Hands‑on involvement in migrations from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA or SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Strong understanding of SAP architecture, integration, and modernization concepts.
